Hisoka, my parnter, always says that his gun is for show. Though with his skill with a katana, I guess it is. Hm!

His kendo helps him channel his emotions. He's a powerful empath, you see. Guns make the job faster, but kendo steadies his spirit.

Kendo steadies his emotions? Interesting. I always thought most kendo practitioners were big beefy angry guys.

... You could say that. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't count to be a hundred centuries in the past. The -- thing I was looking for doesn't appear to be here.

Angry? That was the impression I got from archers. There's always so serious and ticked off about everything. There's no way to win.

No, I mean archery, bow and arrow. Terazuma, Hisoka, and the Chief are all angry people, but they're good at archery. I've only gotten off one good shot, but that was because I promised Hisoka I would.

Legend hunter? I see. Are you a fan of mythology then?

Hm! I do that almost every day though. Many creatures that people believe are just myth and legend are friends of mine. Heck! I know twin tengu, the four Asian Guardians, and a flying serpent that sets ablaze whatever he looks at!

Hell, I'm technically just a myth.

Yeah. Touda was locked away before I freed him. He's very loyal to me as a result, but I would prefer us to be friend more than a master and servant.

Nessie was just a friend. I don't even keep animals as pets. It's not fair to them.

It was a very long time ago, and he can't even remember what he did. I just know that his eyes were full of pure graditude when I offered him my hand. That made me want to protect him all the more.

I've always been better with animals and spirits than people. I don't know why.

They see us for who we truly are. We aren't all that different from them. They have spirits just as we do. We both feel pain, and death comes for all mortal beings. They know that and accept it. Why humans fight against that is still a mystery even to me...

I get the feeling humanity wasn't always this way. Those creatures and spirits were once in harmony with them. I wonder what the world was like back then...
