Nessie was just a friend. I don't even keep animals as pets. It's not fair to them.

It was a very long time ago, and he can't even remember what he did. I just know that his eyes were full of pure graditude when I offered him my hand. That made me want to protect him all the more.

I've always been better with animals and spirits than people. I don't know why.

They see us for who we truly are. We aren't all that different from them. They have spirits just as we do. We both feel pain, and death comes for all mortal beings. They know that and accept it. Why humans fight against that is still a mystery even to me...

I get the feeling humanity wasn't always this way. Those creatures and spirits were once in harmony with them. I wonder what the world was like back then...

If it was, then why didn't it last? Tch. I doubt it. People are pretty stupid, but at least as history progresses they have other things to distract them and keep them busy instead of screwing up other people's lives all the time. Most of them anyway.

We don't really think we had cavemen in Japan. We've always been a spiritually rooted nation, until westernization came along.
