But I really have to ask. Crocodile wrapping paper? Why? Isn't that a little... strange? Cute though:


And I have no idea what to do with the erasers. Even if they're cute too:


If you're trying to send a message, it's unecessary. I got it. Jeez.

Also between this and Father's Day it got me wondering. There's thousands of types of wrapping paper with some strange, sometimes cute designs. Anyone have a favorite? Do you guys just use whatever's cheap/handy or get something personal for the person it's for, or personal coming from you?

No. Because my ah not getting along with people who gave me orders got me kicked out of every military organization I've been in. And the Japanese police force. It might even account for a few of the countries that I was exiled from. Smoker wasn't in a position of authority over me so there's no reason necessarily we wouldn't get along but... it's been YEARS since anyone offered me a position in the miliary and from what I'd heard about the world government I was well... shocked.... But... I don't know... I keep thinkng if my officers had been more like Smoker or Garp... Nevermind it's a moot point.

While I personally never liked the Marines, I won't tell you that you would make a bad one. But the point is that, as a person who does not trust easily, you ought to know better than to want to trust the World Government in any capacity. Much as it pains me to admit, both the Commodore and the Vice Admiral are men of honor who would not hurt you or use you and discard you, but entering the military is a gamble; you never know who you'll end up with. Are you sure you know what you would be fighting for?

I do know better, yes. There's a reason I dawdled, I figured it had to be a trap even if Smoker didn't mean it that way.

And fighting for? Tch. I'm not even going to pretend that I understand Justice. I don't understand Smoker's view of it or why it's so important. I considered it as a second chance. To see what would happen.

But I told Smoker before and it still stands, he's the only one allowed to give me orders. Not because I trust him. I just... respect him.

If you don't understand or believe in justice, you shouldn't try to work for it.

...I have little respect for justice as I used to see it anymore, and none at all for the people I worked for. But I am tired of seeing people fight in its name without comprehending its gravity.

Protecting other people I can understand. Getting rid of scum? That I can understand. I don't want to kill Darcia out of revenge but so that the stupid fucker won't do it again to somebody else.

But laws? Politics? Governments? I don't get. I don't really try to get anymore.

I wasn't planning on ever pledging my life to the World Governmnt. I've pledged my life to governments... over and over again. And they usually cast me aside and trie to kill me in the end.
