[Cute frown and a pout.] No wait, that line's terrible... [Sighs and runs a hand through her hair, then taps her little mechanics into device, which mostly just looks extremely dangerous and flashes knifes and other cutting utensils on swinging springs before she taps it it again with a pen to make it stop and settle down.]

Writing music is really hard. "But there ain't no cure --

[Earrings. Yes, apparently that death trap from hell she's playing with? It's an earring. Of course it is. Who wouldn't wear such death traps on their ears right next to their head and necks... it's so shiny. And then the other "earring" goes off and just starts smoking.] Uh-oh... guess I shouldn't have borrowed Lupin's gunpowder. [Spock nods, seemingly pleased.]

If I cannot find one at the 'item shop' then I will make him a violin to celebrate his birthday and anniversary. Can I trust that you will not inform him of this information? As you suggested, it will be a small surprise.

I won't tell. You can really make such a thing though? That's really complicated!

[Spock looks as though he is remembering something...]
Indeed. I play a Vulcan string instrument that resembles a lyre. One of the pre-requisites of learning to play was to know how to make your own.

I have always found satisfaction in working with my hands.[Spock looks pointedly at her 'project' on the table...] It would seem that we have that it common.

Indeed. It depends on the level of familiarity though... but I can always access instructions.

Mm, no, not exactly. There aren't a lot of instruments I can play well. But I was thinking there's a lot of people in the village who'd really like more opportunities, so that's something that would make you very popular very quickly.

I see... I will consider it. [Truth is, one instrument takes a significant amount of time... time best used for work.

This tells me that your nature is far 'deeper' than what you project. [Spock gives her a considering look.] However, I will not pry into your secrets, but I will say, that if you are ever in need of assistance, I implore you not to hesitate to ask me.

[She already hesitates. Part of her wants to go into a tsundere denial mode. But if Spock wants to think that, he clearly doesn't seem to view it as a weakness, so all right...]

[Though quite probably the only way she was likely to use his help was if she truly needed it or she could at least convince herself that she was just conning it out of him.]

[Spock regards Fujiko with a fond smile...]

Indeed.

[Spock stands, takes one of Fujiko's hands and bows at the waist to once again brush his lips against her knuckles. When he straightens again, he is giving her a half-smile.]

I must head to the Dome at this time. I wish you...'luck' with your project.

[Tries to do the vulcan thing back. Don't worry, it doesn't take her too long to master at least. Advantage of thief fingers that are used to picking locks.] Have fun at the Dome.
