[Christmastime alone hits Fujiko a little hard. Not that she'd necessarily want the company even if she was back in her world, but even if she did want to, she can't even make up some sort of extravagant gig or excuse to call up Lupin and check in on him. Which leads her to taking advantage of the new coastline and exploring down in it in the cold and singing Love Squall to herself. Of course, she fidgets a bit too much with the journal so it carries over, complete with the bitter sound of her chucking rocks into the ocean.]

Wow! Fancy~! [Happily bounds along to the back and makes herself comfy, still trying extra hard to look cute and innocent. ~~Of which she is not.~~]

Ah~? What do you have? [Wide pleased eyes turn on Duo, watching expectantly.]

Gotta give the best seat in the house to such a special customer. [She's certainly got Duo under her spell.]

We got water, beer, juice, soda, and some odd drinks I get from the store and have no idea what it is. As for toppings, you got all your usual meats and veggies along with some weird stuff like super hot sauce and shrimp. And sometimes I get special orders and have to to the store to pick up the extra stuff. [Did he just say all that without breathing?]

Goodness. Certainly well stocked at least! Hum~ Well, what would the chef recommend? I'm sure you have a favorite! And you'd know best, yes?

Gotta friend a mine who does my shoppin' every morning, makes sure I have everything I need for the day. I think a refined lady like you'd like the classic pizza. That's tomatoes and basil, right? Or you want the real classic pepperoni? Can't ever go wrong with that.

[Duo blushes a little and gets to work stretching out the crust for her pizza. He's a flirt. He's a big flirt, but having a girl that stacked flirting back is enough to turn any boy's cheeks red.] So you ah... never said what you wanted ta drink.

Oh, ah, hm. Got any green tea? Or maybe a Zinfadel, if you have it.

[Good thing he's practiced this so many times. If he hadn't, he'd be dropping pizza on his face, worrying about the pretty woman watching him. Duo starts to spin out the pizza, tossing it into the air.] I got no idea what that Zinfeffle stuff is, but I can make tea. And I'm not bad at it.

It's a type of white wine, but tea will work great thanks!

[Duo lets the pizza drop onto the floured counter and gets to work with the sauce cheese and toppings.] Alright, I'll just get this in the oven and I'll get some water heated for tea and get out some bags. Er, it's not fancy tea. Is that okay?

You must do this a lot, hm?

Oh yeah. Lots a pizzas every day. [Duo scoops the pizza up with his giant wood spatula and tosses it into his wood pizza oven. Then he starts clattering around, getting out a teapot and some water. He puts it on the stove to boil.] I gotta do somethin' ta keep myself busy around here. I get into enough trouble without being bored.

[A small laugh and taps a finger against her chin.]

Trouble, hm? What is it with girls always falling for bad boys? Should I even ask what kind~?

[Duo grins at her.] Girls love the danger of bad boys~

Oh, is that what it is? And here I thought we were just suckers for a cute face~

Well, certainly helps when the bad boy's gotta cute face. Makes us more dangers 'cause then you don't see it coming. [Duo moves around preparing tea things.]

[Laughs softly.] All the more reason to never trust a pretty face, mm?

[He grins as he sets the seeping tea on the table along with a clean, but simple cup. Sorry there's no saucer. He'll get sugar, lemon, and milk out too.] Then I'd better not trust you at all with such a pretty face.

[Another small chuckle.] Such a flatterer~

[Duo winks at her. By the time he's done with the tea stuff, the pizza's ready. He takes it out of the oven like he always does, using just a little filial magic to protect his hand as he grabs the 400 degree pan and sets it down on the wood table. He brushes his fingers over the table, dispelling the heat without thinking as he gets out a knife to cut it into delicious slices.] Got ya pizza, a drink. Anything else a pretty lady needs? Any special favors I can do for her?

Care to come join me? I do hate eating alone after all. [Small tinling laugh.] And it's much too big for me alone. [Winks.]

[Duo grins and sits down next to her rather than across the table from her.] Well how can I refuse such an invitation?

[He licks his lips, just a little too slowly, and helps himself to a slice of cheesy goodness.]

[Beams and enjoys it with him.]

So you've been doing this for a while?

[He really shouldn't talk with food in his mouth, but he does anyway.] Yeah, been a while since I opened this place. Two years at least. Shit, I've been here a long time... ah well. Hasn't been too bad, but I'm not used ta staying in one place like this. I'm gunna have ta move houses again and hope it helps.

That is a long time! [Pales... she's going to lose it if she has to stay in one place that long.]
