[Christmastime alone hits Fujiko a little hard. Not that she'd necessarily want the company even if she was back in her world, but even if she did want to, she can't even make up some sort of extravagant gig or excuse to call up Lupin and check in on him. Which leads her to taking advantage of the new coastline and exploring down in it in the cold and singing Love Squall to herself. Of course, she fidgets a bit too much with the journal so it carries over, complete with the bitter sound of her chucking rocks into the ocean.]

Stupid Lupin. The one time you don't chase me down...

(ooc: Sorry I poofed on you again. I was busying being staff for an anime con. We also didn't get free net in the room which I think is super lame.)

[He's still talking around pizza in his mouth.] Yeah, it's been hard ta deal with. I mean, I've stayed in one place for a while a few times, but it's been a while. The Malnosso screwin' with us and stuff makes it better. So does changin' houses sometimes. But 's not like we got much of a choice. Gotta adjust to being trapped here 'cause the alternative is going crazy.

[Duo laughs a little before his eyes take on a dangerous gleam.] Maybe not him, but I'm sure there's a few people 'round here who'll blow up plenty of stuff. If we gotta good enough reason. The Malnosso'll fix it after though. Hard ta decide if that makes it more fun or not.

Actually I think the fact that they're forced to fix it does make it more fun. I mean just think of how much money and resources the must have to constantly sink into this place. Might as well make it more of a hassle for them.

[Duo leans back in his chair and snags another piece of pizza.] Ya know, when you put it that way, I think ya might be right. This place already has ta cost them and arm and a leg. They gotta keep us all clothed and fed and they gotta power that barrier ta keep us in here. Bet it ticks 'em off every time they gotta send out the droids ta fix something we broke.

Yeah see!? It's like Scorpion. Sure, he could make million dollar traps, but he still had to spend that much every time. After a while, why even get rid of him? It's more fun to frustrate him.

... idiot. You can build perfectly good traps with a lot less money than that. Hell, I can do it with a wrench, welding torch, and some leftover mobile suit parts, car parts, or just 'bout anything's leftover parts.

Yeah, but those are easy to evade. Well, maybe. I'm not sure what a mobile suit is supposed to be.

Apparently the million dollar ones aren't much better either. A mobile suit is... well... it's a big robot, that you use to fight in war. Or you can use 'em to mine and build ships and buildings and stuff. Mostly we've been using them for war. Least for my entire life we have.

[Mutters.] I hate robots.

And it's not that they're successful, but they are good lures.

Hey, robots aren't all bad. My buddy's real good. And they make mining in space so much easier. And we can fix the colonies with them, rather than tryin' ta do 'em while in a space suit.

He's baitin' the things with some nice stuff? Better be if he's spending that much on it.

Ironically Scorpion turned himself into a cyborg. I'm not much of a fan since then.

He does have some beautiful toys though. Ferraris and the whole works.

Well you can't judge all the rest just 'cause some jerkface is an ass. If ya did that, you'd have to hate all people too 'cause there's more than enough asses ta go around.

And I bet a pretty girl can't resist such a pretty and classic car? Maybe they're not such bad traps?

They're shiny enough to lure someone in, just terrible at killing them afterwards. And it's a ferrari. Who could resist it?

Well it's mostly as close as I can get in my world. Met a few robots in this town. A few people who were created instead of born. Stuff like that.

What do you mean? You're looking at the pilot. Deathscythe doesn't do anything with me. Hell, with all my security, no one else should even be able to get into the thing without making it blow up. Well, Howard can, but that's 'cause I let him.
