Well now, this whole teleporting thing isn't too bad. If only they could control it they'd make a fortune. Well, not really since "they" apparently don't believe in money. I've never heard of such a thing. So backwards. The idea that "they" could be more enlightented beyond the needs of money is just plain ludicrous. Oh well! They don't know what they're missing.

I haven't gotten to explore all of this place yet, so anyone wind up somewhere interesting from this? Come on! Share the juicy details please!

War the Mallies are fightin' with the Third Party. Avians. They go for the wings. [He gestures over his shoulder at his scarred and tattered wing. At this point, he just might be boasting a little. Maybe.]

Why? [Unconsciously reaches for the PPK holsters.]

Your guess is as good as mine. [He takes another drink, nonchalant.] They like usin' us to do their dirty work.

Other than the war and this whole teleporting mess; like what?

Ah, the teleporting's nothin' compared to half the shit-brained schemes they come up with for "experiments".

[Having been the victim of scientist experiments before, Fujiko's eyes take on a hard look and slightly more scared tone, leaning in towards Raph almost to hide behind him.]

Like... what? [And there's a definite unmistakable mixture of scared and bravado in her voice and face.]

Messin' with our heads, mostly. Or makin' people act stupid. My brother went schitzo after the last one. Thought he had another person livin' in his head.

[Quiet voice and hangs head, shielding brown eyes with hair.] And there's no way to stop them?

[He tilts his head, feeling a trace of guilt for scaring her, but justifies it with getting her in the know.]

[Throws her hands up with an annoyed growl and mutters about Lupin.]

So what about this war thing? Any restrictions? No machine guns or airplanes or something?

[That amuses him a little.]

No, they gave us pretty much everything we asked for. I know for a fact one guy got an airplane an' I helped weld on some heavy artillery to an F-Zero machine before things went down.

[Now at this she looks impressed.]

So that whole beef about the wings being our lifeline is true? [Warily touches her own with a small frown.]

Got it cut off in the war. Was tryin' to save my brother after our communicators went down. Got ambushed.

It's supposed to grow back fine in a week, but it ain't been the same since. Whole place was goin' nuts when it happened.

Ahh sorry to hear it. [VERY gently brushes it just to check to the workmanship, not like it's easy to do on her own, but hops away before he can get mad or something.] So what happens then?

[He just regains that crooked smile at her reaction.]
