ooc: log of Fujiko/Havoc talking things out
Who: Closed to Fujiko & Havoc (Nick Parker)
What: Talking out reality vs. dreams
Why: Needed to be don.
When: Sometime after his post
Where: His room on the Lady Justice (she snuck through a window)
Rating: Talking? PG-13 for now. I'll fix as necessary so don't track if you're squeamish, I don't pretend to know how she'll always take things until it happens. RP baby.
Fujiko doublechecked her stolen blueprints and the notes she'd made of the Lady Justice. She probably should have asked Havoc where his room was, but she was pretty sure she could find it even without that. And it was a test. She remembered where it was, unless that was a lie. It was a lie. A strange false memory, but maybe there was some truth to it. The best lies always had some truth to them, that's what made them so difficult to discern. She threw up a grappling rope and climbed up the ship, carefully making sure not to get caught, grateful that the black catsuit blended in withthe night ocean's darkness. She took a chance and peeked in "his" window. Success!
The window was broken, something from Garp perhaps? Although it looked like something (a shoe possibly?) had been thrown through it. Fujiko carefully reached in and undid the lock, not like she didn't do this a hundred times a year back in her world, and hopped inside. "Hey there Parker," she nervously greeted with a soft smile. Part of her still leaned against the wall next to the window, ready to run away in a second if this all turned out to be some sort of elaborate trap. She didn't... completely trust him and yet here she was taking this kind of chance. There was something there, even if she couldn't define it yet.

A muffled, cut short yelp/sob came from the bathroom, followed by the suggestion of low swearing.

"I..." He looked around the mess he'd created. He'd wanted to tidy up a bit before she got here, he didn't want her to see him like this. He wanted the world just to be nice and cosy and comfy for them, he wanted the lie back. He hated her, he loved her, he wanted to hold her, he wanted to push her away.

She began cleaning his hands, stopping him from tidying and paused to cautiously glance up at him with big brown eyes. She swallowed nervously and apologized, "Sorry... instinct." And continued tying them up anyway.

This was the very first time they'd ever met in person apart from The Event; he'd slipped out amidst the confusion and uproar at the end of it without saying goodbye. It scared him how familiar he was with her, how he knew every contour of her body and every spot that she enjoyed. And she knew this about him too.

"What happened?" she asked softly, letting some of her genuine worry slip through. She finished tying one hand and went to work on the other, her own other hand still lightly brushing his cheek, soothingly petting him as though calming down a wild animal.

She chuckled again, trying to diffuse the situation with humor even though that rarely worked for her. "At least you said the sex was good. It would have been a lot more embarrassing if you hadn't." Her cheeks twinged pink slightly and she dropped her eyes momentarily to examine his hand closer.

"You know what? This is fucked up."

"We never could really hit it off... you know? I'd go to Paris, he'd go to Tokyo. I'd finally go out on a date with him, he'd hit on other girls." That stung with a frequent kind of honesty. "It's who he is," she sighed softly, running a hand through her hair again. "Always a wolf," she muttered. "I mean if he was here now I'd probably just punch him, but I haven't ever... with someone besides him..." She didn't explain what she hadn't ever; loved, fully romanced, the truth was, no one else really challenged her in the same way. In a way that kept her going for the fun of it.

He lay back and thought of Sakura, who he'd last seen disappearing up an air duct in a Nod research facility. Was she even still alive? Did she care if he had died in the blast? There didn't seem to be anyone from his world here, not that he'd met anyway. There was a longing there, but there was something else right here and now. He listened to Fujiko talking, but he didn't really hear what she was saying.

He rolled over and looked at her. "Either we can do it my way, and start shooting stuff or we can do it your way." He rolled back over onto his back.
"And start getting naked." He sniggered.

"No." He leant in and kissed her. It didn't really matter if it had ever happened or not.
He loved her.
