Wrapping Paper

But I really have to ask. Crocodile wrapping paper? Why? Isn't that a little... strange? Cute though:


And I have no idea what to do with the erasers. Even if they're cute too:

Also between this and Father's Day it got me wondering. There's thousands of types of wrapping paper with some strange, sometimes cute designs. Anyone have a favorite? Do you guys just use whatever's cheap/handy or get something personal for the person it's for, or personal coming from you?

That's not necessarily true. I don't ever want to go to the dentist, but I need to if I want to maintain my dental health, eh?

I don't want much either. I was going to ask for new skis if I were back home, but they wouldn't be useful here.

Other than Japan the one country I've spent most of my time in was France. I just get ah... It's... difficult to explain. It makes me nervous. Sends off little alarm bells and reminds me of people.

...oh. I'm sorry, eh? I just. Speak French. About a quarter of my citizens speak it as their first language. But I can stick with English, if that makes you more comfortable.

I have yes. I'm curious what Lupin would make of him. Or vice versa perhaps. Lupin's family is... famous in France. A national treasure practically. I never thought about the France/English rivalry and how it sort of carried out between Sherlock Holmes and Arsene Lupin but it makes a lot more sense now.

I suppose things sound better in French but it's more that most French men make me feel like... like I'll be swept off my feet and forget myself. I'm not in the habit of letting that happen.

Who's Lupin?

I'm not French, eh? Francis makes me feel like that sometimes too.

Arsene Lupin III. His Grandfather was France's most notorious thief. Gentleman thief. He sent letters warning his victims of his plans to make it more sporting and challenging. Had a habit of romancing... every woman he came across. Lupin II was tch... I'd rather not bring him up but Lupin III is also mrsticktfingers he's... a lot of things. Followed in his grandfather's footsteps every step of the way. Best thief in the world. And a real ladykiller. Always had to watch my step around him.

Ah I'll keep that in mind. I like the French... a lot... they just... I get jumpy. Renge and Sanji too... Wow really? That's kind of a relief. I mean no offense I just always thought it was my weakness and it seemed so... lonely. And it's kind of... less scary knowing I'm not the only one. Is that strange?

Really? Well yeah. He says things to me that no one else has ever said. And he means them. It's...overwhelming.

Mm-hm. AH yes! That's exactly it! And I don't know how to react because I always want to think it's NOT sincere because how.... how could something like that be serious but at the same time I wish it was true and then I just get ... flustered.

Oh well... Hm. Renge is... I don't even know where to begin to describe her. She's one of the only people capable of terrifying Crocodile. THAT takes skill. And she's basically sort of French aristocrat but she's smart, she just uses it for silly things. Like tv shows. But she can read people pretty well and that's kind of unnerving. She confuses me sometimes when she goes off about love and romance because what she says seems to have no correlation to reality. And Sanji is a French flirt and cook. That pretty much sums him up. Ahhh and the melty feeling... that's the worst. That's when I know I have to run or I'll do something dangerous.
