Also between this and Father's Day it got me wondering. There's thousands of types of wrapping paper with some strange, sometimes cute designs. Anyone have a favorite? Do you guys just use whatever's cheap/handy or get something personal for the person it's for, or personal coming from you?

Hey maybe you can explain this to me. Back on the countries having kids note. Iceland isn't actually biologically your son, and you said you didn't raise him. But kids like Sealand and whoever. Do they biologically have countries for their parents? It's something I simply don't get. Because... I know the countries do have sex but can they actually have kids out of it? Or do countries simply get created when races of people band together to form a government and system of protection and laws. Do the two events coincide?

I thought you could explain it. <3 It's been bugging me for a while. I could have asked Poland I suppose but part of me suspected he wouldn't know, and I was going to ask France but he's kind of creepy and there's never been a good moment to ask England. Sorry. And Prussia is dead so I was going to ask him if he could still make countries but that definitely could very wrong so...

It isn't a matter of sex or biology. It is, in fact, the latter in a much more complicated and intricate process than I really fancy explaining at the moment. Just know that we are the children of the people of our respective nations and as such we take on the responsibility of the nation itself. If an older, more developed nation just happened to find one of these younger nations and is willing to take the responsibility of keeping them under their care then that is fine.

As for Sealand, he is a special case. He was made from me, by me and for me so he is technically, therefore my biological -- well, were related. No matter how much he cares to deny it.

I see. Thank-you for clarifying England-san. That (unfortunately perhaps) leads to my next inquiry regarding holidays. Do you celebrate all of the ones celebrated by your people and given the diverse nature of many of the nations; do you usually celebrate holidays of different cultural origins as well and is it dependent on how many people in your country celebrate or moreso the whims of rulers?

Sorry if these questions are so difficult, I'm just very curious.

Holidays are to be spent the way the people decide to do so. A nation is it's people after all. It usually falls under majority depending on the region.

You will have to forgive his incapability of handling a question like this. He isn't fond of people saying he should not exist and as you can tell, he's hardly the type to kee phis temper in check.

Perhaps this will be easier to understand. Prussia was a country once upon a time. Gilbert is Prussia. After the war, the nation of Prussia was disbanded but Gilbert lives on because his people did and still do. Remnants of his country are still there and he is part of them. No matter how you look at it, Gilbert is still Prussia and always will be even though he is a little more difficult to find on a modern map.

Actually England; while I appreciate the further instruction: all this I know. I'm fairly certain he lives on because he lives on in the minds and hearts of his people. They haven't forgotten him nor stopped thinking of themselves as Prussians no matter what lines on a map say. To truly kill a country isn't a matter of shoving them off a cliff; this I learned from Prussia. It has to do with being forgotten. I personally find that impressive.

To be perfectly honest, I only called him dead because he's been so furious with me I figured it would get his attention. Not the smartest move I've mad but this month has been full of idiotic ones. I know he's alive but... I know how often the other countries such as Poland and whoever else claim him to be dead and in perhaps a miscalculated move I sought to find Norway's views on this one way or another though he appears to be thoroughly indifferent.
