Okay so Crocodile and I got in a debate about having goals/unattainable quests/missions/whatever. And I've been curious about this for awhile and like Liet said, things are really slow on this ship right now. So dream meme.


1. Do you have an ultimate goal/dream?
a) If yes, what is this?
b) If you don't want to tell people, why not?
2. What is it you want right now/within the next month or so?
3. What would it take for you to achieve your ultimate dream?
a) What would it take for you to obtain what you want right now?
4. Do you want other people to be involved in this dream?
a) Who and/or why them/why not?

Yeah no offense but I think I'd rather be a grim reaper than live a normal life of "family".

Meh... it's... complicated. Look, getting drunk is dangerous. I assume you'll be fine since you're dead (could anything even kill you?) but I don't like to be in a position where I can't safely shoot my way out if things go wrong. And if I can't see straight enough to shoot, it's too dangerous.

Depends. I always sort of thought if you died everything ended. But if I could stick around doing stuff what's the downside? Does it hurt? You're not a ghost so you can still talk to people and do stuff right? And you can't die again.

I dunno... mostly I'm just okay with going mission to mission, quest to quest, day to day. And I could do that if I was in your whatever state right?

Oh... well then yeah that would suck. Unless THIS counts as undeath or something because if my old life was the people I couldn't talk to then yeah I'd be all for that.

No. You're alive. It wouldn't count. You'd have to die now, and never speak to anyone you knew in life ever again. You can't even really be yourself, you have to go by a different name, and you even look different to the living than you did in life. And you're fucking dead and will never age, but you still need to eat and sleep and therefore have a fucking JOB.

Whatever. I'm not supposed to make friends. Rube is always telling us to live on the periphery. To not get involved.

Huh... yeah that would... suck. I mean the having a job and eating and stuff is just you know... normal but everything else.

Hum... I don't think your boss would like me much... I'd probably tell him to fuck off just because I don't get along with rules I don't like.

He hates me half the time. I basically said fuck you to all his rules. But they're there for a reason. Shit gets fucked up bad if you don't follow the rules.

I guess? Depends on the job right? I mean work can be fun if you're in the right occupation. Better than nothing I think.

Oh. Aside from the "normal" what happens if you get attached to people though?

I'm not qualified for a good job. And I have a job, reaping. I don't want another job, and I don't need one to FULFILL me or anything like that, I just need one in order to feed and clothe myself, which I shouldn't have to do, because I'm DEAD.

Well. Every reaper has an unknown quota of souls they have to take before they can go on. Your last reap becomes the next reaper. I filled someone's quota.

It's really too complicated to explain.

Yeah. And my boss has been a reaper for over 80 years, so who knows how long I'll be around.

Nah I get it. Safety precautions and all that. And there are things in my past I'd just as soon as forget as well.

So who decides who gets how much? That just seems... disorganized. Plus maybe it isn't even that it's a specific number maybe the number's made up and it's the specific person who becomes your replacement but you have to wait until it's your time so they're just lying about the number so that you keep doing it instead of sitting around until your replacement comes along.

Ah. Well... if you want, I find really complicated things get easier once you start them and given how many stupid things I say all the time, it's not going to phase me if it comes out garbled.

You just have to keep reaping as long as you're a reaper. When you reap your last one you can go on. If you don't do your assignments the people will die anyway. Someone has to get their soul out so they can move on.

No it's not that. It would just involve a ton of explanation, and I don't really feel like going into it.

*shrug* I dunno. It just seems an unfair setup. I hate when organizations decide to be all "only what information is necessary" because you know what? All pieces to the puzzle are vital if you want the job done right.

But that's just me.
