No. For you being lady-like is how you are. I told you you're more graceful than me. For me... I'm not lady-like. I'm crass, I get along better with boys. I shoot guns, drive fast vehicles, smoke cigars on occasion, drink heavy, and I punch instead of slap. When I act lady-like it's just that, an act. When I'm being ladylike, I'm not really, it's just another mask.

No no, that's not how I meant it. I just suspected there was something a lot deeper to it. I'm too used to there BEING a lot deeper. No offense, but taking things out on people is something everyone does. For some reason I got this inkling that his reasoning was something unique to him. Just something a lot less simple. It's not bad... I just... overthought it I guess. And it'd be more interesting if it was something weirder. I don't know... forget it.

I think everyone acts differently depending on who they're around. You wouldn't speak to your grandmother like you would speak to your friends. I don't like to think of that as a mask. It's very constricting. It makes it feel forced to me. And I don't think there's any set way to be a lady. Miss Bianchi shoots guns, drinks, smokes occasionally but I think she's still very feminine. I punch as opposed to slapping. Don't let other people tell you you're not being feminine. I think you are very much a lady.

Ahh... well.. at least it wasn't your run of the mill reason. I mean... switching bodies isn't run of the mill right?

Never had a grandmother, don't have much by way of friends. The closest I can relate to what you're saying is the... people I grew up around and I used to talk to them almost the way Agito does. I was kind of angry as a kid. They tried to beat it out of me which is why I know how to act lady-like. When I feel like it. And I'm not saying I'm unfeminine, just not lady-like. I mean yeah I can go to a ball and fit in unnoticed but about half-way through if I get bored I'm going to start spiking people's drinks and creating mayhem. I mean yes, I know how to use a fishfork differently than a salad fork and a soup spoon vs. an a gelato spoon but when it comes down to it, I don't care, I'd just as soon eat without a spoon so long as it gets the job done. I'm not saying it's bad or wrong, it's just not "lady-like." It's not demure or modest or necessarily polite but as Jyabura has told me before, "Fuck demure."

Well... No, not that common anyways, but stress-originated schafenfreude is.

I don't have any parents/grandparents either. I grew up training as an assassin under a very strict master. I think most of my speech patterns come from him. And from Tsuna's mother. I spent a lot of my childhood in Japan and they're very polite there. I never attributed it to being lady like. It's really probably just culture and environment.

I grew up in Japan too. My whole life until I was 21. Didn't make me polite. But everyone always said it was my nature more than how I was raised. Genetics or something.

But I'm not entirely sure we're talking about the same Japan. Guns are illegal in my Japan and even women cops aren't allowed to carry firearms. Being a girl who fought back instead of diplomatically trying to find help automatically made me considered un-lady-like. Though, like I said, it's not like I mind.
