Ciel! I found those books you were looking for. [And how. There's at least 3 Sherlock Holmes books, and a good stack of 20 other books. Anyone want to help the busty chick move those books? The little kid probably won't help that much either.] There were even some others I'd never seen before, but they look like fiction. And I got you Hound of the Baskerville, because it's just a really good book.

Hey, just so I know, if there are any fans of French literature out there, is anyone else here familiar with Maurice Leblanc or Arsene Lupin?

Oh! And Valvalis, I can start whenever you have time. [Aha, that might explain all the wind magic books she's got. Still, even though normally she'd make Lupin do all this work, she doesn't look too unhappy.]

The kid's clever and cocky enough to remind me of someone. I kind of want to put the two of them together sometime and make them duke it out~ Plus, well, I've met the thief in the stories. They're classics, so it'd be nice to have someone vaguely know some of what I'm talking about.

And if nothing else, this many books should take him awhile so he won't be so whiney! [Clearly all generous and altruistic motives.]

Arsene Lupin? [He gives her something of a perplexed look. Not that he disbelieves her, but one of curiosity about the kind of world she's from. For how fantastic all these people are with their abilities, a lot of them come from rather... mundane worlds.] You've met him?

Well, I never met Sherlock Holmes of course, he died way before my time.

I'm rather aquainted with Lupin III though. That's how I met his grandfather.

[And no, she's not even going to mention Dracula or the time she pickpocketed Jimmy Carter and stole his wallet or helped steal J.F.K's Christmas present. Because... that kind of stuff is just hard to explain.]

Something of a legend chaser you could say. For a little while I wanted to go into journalism. [This is true, and she still sometimes uses her original college major before switching, like in Caglistro. It's nothing close to the whole truth at all however.] So sometimes I'd be covering a um scoop, and he'd sneak in and ruin everything. Always blowing everything up.

[It brings to mind a journalist that found out about the fables. They made fake pictures of him being a pedophile and blackmailed him into silence, only after scaring the shit out of him and deleting all his files on them.

Finding Nessie was an accident, Nessie just loved her voice, and Fujiko loves Nessie.] Sometimes it's for their own good though. Ah... [Cutely bites her bottom lip and fixes him with a demure, patented cute "I just want to save the world" vulnerable look she uses to get out of trouble.] You've heard of Siberian and Bengal tigers maybe? Well, for a while they were going to sell them all to circuses and for use in charms... I couldn't let that happen. [Glances away as if she's fighting with a moral conscience, that sadly she doesn't really have.] I know maybe it wasn't the best way, but it was the only one I could think of to free them you know? [Looks up with giant eyes.] You understand, right?

[He cringes at the mention of tigers. The last prison he was in has tigers surrounding it that they had to elude to escape. Also, Shere Khan is kind of a dick.]

... I know tigers. [Jack himself has no such moral complications when it comes to saving cuddly animals. But he does have a code of honor that dictates he tell beautiful women what they want to hear with absolute sincerity.] Of course. People already have Sigfried and Roy, the rest of the tigers should be left alone. In the jungle. Not in circuses, used for charms, or in remote prison camps to keep people from escaping.

Yeah exactly! Definitely not the latter. The psychos who keep them are always jerks who should get kicked in the nuts. [And uh... she's done that. And let's not even go into the Landshark thing.] Especially the ones who keep crocodiles in the pits! Who do they think they are? A James Bond villain?

See? So some legends should be sought out. [Nods, now that she's sure she's on a good roll.] And the rest that want to stay hidden don't have to be shown to the world, ne~? Sometimes they should only get found by people who deserve it. [Sure, because that's the reason for stealing paintings from the "undeserving." Obviously it's like Robin Hood. Only without the giving away.]
