OOC: Gokudera's Party Log Post

OBVIOUSLY you don't have to show up. We know it's short notice and during the week (feel free to run threads for months I don't mind) we just had a lot of people wanting to log things related to it and rather than have 17 little logs (seriously, I mean it is starting to clutter friend's page, for which I apologize because I think 1/2 of that is me orz) THIS WAY everyone can and all one post. And be spontaneous whatever.

It's decorated for Gokudera's birthday, nothing TOO big and flashy but Fujiko got him a piano banner because she's like that. (and did one for Akito/Agito so yeah)

Also of course, the awesome amazing PIANO Tsuna and Reborn got him with Brooke to visit and play!! YAY!

"But they'll only slow me down!" He whines, jerking the controller as if it controls the movements of his race car. The car somehow manages to get stuck in front of a building and he after several seconds of grunting in frustration and finally figuring out how to go in reverse he's able to catch up with some of the other cars.

Tsuna sits up a little straighter as he reaches the checkpoint and sighs happily when he finish in 5th place. At least I wasn't last.

"Hehehe..." Gokudera finishes in last, but it's fine. He's glad the boss didn't let him win because it's his birthday. "Good job, Tenth!"

"We should do that again!" The Don-to-be smiles. He was just getting used to the sensitivity of the controls.

"Alright! I'll win this time." Gokudera navigates them back to pick new cars, since he blames his loss on the vehicle rather than the driver. It's neon green and doesn't look as cool, but maybe it's better. The acceleration isn't as high as the one he chose, but it looks like maneuvering it will be easier.

Tsuna picks a small,sleek black car and picks a wild looking course. Maybe he'll get to race neck with Gokudera this time! "Ready?" The smaller boy asks, thumb hovering over the the green button.

"Yeah!" Gokudera grins and holds down the acceleration button as the countdown starts. When the cars take off, he quickly hops into third place, pleased with himself for not running into anything... yet.

Tsuna, who had been holding down the acceleration as well, spun out and is having trouble catching up with his self-proclaimed right hand man.

"Come on, Tenth!" Gokudera feels a little bit cocky as he turns a corner sharply, jumping into second place.

Tsuna is close behind in 4th and he's pressing so hard on the little button that his thumb is starting to ache. "I'm trying! I'm trying!" He whines. He can see Gokudera's speedy little green car as only a few cars speed up between them.

Gokudera can feel excitement coursing through him and he sits on the edge of the cushion, leaning over his controller as he smashes the acceleration and steers the car. When he's on the last lap, he's gnawing on the filter of his cigarette.

Auugh! This car will not get out of his way! Tsuna is neck and neck for third and is starting to get irked at being unable to race his guardian.

Gokudera's silence is unnerving as he begins playing a little more seriously. The loud hum of the engine in the game, and the background music take up most of the space between them as he reaches the finish line in the final lap.

"GO GO Go go go g- dang!" Tsuna says, voice building up in volume only to drop back down as he crosses the finish line and still isn't caught up to his storm guardian.

"Yes!" Gokudera cheers and smiles over at his boss. "That was much better than last time, eh, Tenth?" He sets down the controller and stretches on the couch.

"Mmm... it was fun!" Tsuna carefully puts the controller aside and leans back against the couch, the conversation he'd held with Haru still fresh in his mind.

"Have you been having a good time, Tenth?" Gokudera asks, reaching over and grabbing a glass of water he'd brought in earlier and taking a drink from it.

"Y-Yes!" He lies. "So many people showed up to your party." He smiles, remembers Miranda smiling as she listened to the storm guardian play, Fay-san helping out in the kitchen. The don's smile sags a little as he recalls his previous conversations with Orpherus-san and Haru.

"I saw the cake!" Tsuna chirps, trying to draw the conversation away from himself.

"Thank you, Tenth." Gokudera softens completely for his boss, eyes sparkling slightly at the brunette before him.

"Oh, you did? I was going to show you but I suppose Tenth was too busy," The Storm Guardian grins nervously, but waves a hand dismissively. "Tenth has been so distracted, lately!" He looks proud of his boss, but he always does.

"I caught a glimpse of it before they put it out. I'm not that busy, I just didn't want to get in anyone's way." Tsuna admits, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"H-Have I?" He wasn't he'd let anything show to worry his friends... Maybe Gokudera-kun is just worrying too much.

"It's very... colorful." Gokudera says thoughtfully and he runs his thumb over his chin and purses his lips.

"Ah! Maybe I've just been very busy! I'm sorry I was away for so long, Tenth!" Gokudera gasps and lowers his hands to his knees, bowing his head low. "I hope I didn't miss too much..."

"Have you tried it yet?" He asks. He's not sure what flavor red velvet is...

"It's alright, Gokudera-kun! No, you didn't miss much." Tsuna holds his hands out to stop his friend's bowing.

"No. I was going to wait for everyone else..." Gokudera said, thinking that he might get some soon the more he thought about it.

"Ah! I hope you didn't worry about me." It came off sounding more like a suggestion than a concern.

"Good idea." The brunette offers his storm guardian a small smile.

~~I always worry about you~~ "You're very strong! I knew you could take care of yourself! Did you accomplish what you wanted?"

Gokudera smiles back, returning it with full force.

"Ah hehe" He blushes a little and glances away. "Of course!" The silver-haired teen makes a fist and leans forward, beginning enthusiastically, "I developed a new technique that combines Uri's physical force with the power of the Systema C.A.I." He's grinning and puffing out his chest slightly, hoping his boss will be pleased with the information.

"Great! I'm sure it's very strong!" But he hopes he'll never have to see his friend use it on anyone anytime soon.
