OOC: Gokudera's Party Log Post

OBVIOUSLY you don't have to show up. We know it's short notice and during the week (feel free to run threads for months I don't mind) we just had a lot of people wanting to log things related to it and rather than have 17 little logs (seriously, I mean it is starting to clutter friend's page, for which I apologize because I think 1/2 of that is me orz) THIS WAY everyone can and all one post. And be spontaneous whatever.

It's decorated for Gokudera's birthday, nothing TOO big and flashy but Fujiko got him a piano banner because she's like that. (and did one for Akito/Agito so yeah)

Also of course, the awesome amazing PIANO Tsuna and Reborn got him with Brooke to visit and play!! YAY!

"...Did you test all the ingredients first?" He asks, shifting his weight uncomfortably from one foot to the other.

"Y-yes" she pouted, crossing her arms ~~cutely~~defensively. Everything except the eggs, of course. Who on earth would eat raw eggs?!

"Hm." He looks her over. "You can eat some first." Gokudera trusts that she tested everything, but with so many hands in the kitchen, something could have gone wrong.

She sighs. "Alright, alright... I will. Do you want to cut it already?" Miranda asks, uncrossing her arms.

"Has anyone else seen it yet?" He asks, looking about as though people might turn the corner any minute.

"Just the people who helped make it" she stated simply, raising a brow at the bomber's actions. Why was he acting so shifty?

"Then I'll have a piece later." Gokudera says, going back to looking like he doesn't care at all. "Everyone should see this. It's pretty cool."

Her stomach flitted happily at the compliment to the cake, and it showed in her grin. "Like I said, we wanted it to reflect you"

"..." Gokudera lowers his head and gives her a sad smile. He doesn't know what to say because really, he's touched. Receiving any kind of gift from her or anyone else on the Grand Line isn't anything he's used to. He can't compare it to fanclub devoted to him at school because he knows their attraction to him is based only on their need for attention. They don't know him, and they really don't care. It's almost as though they were all competing for his attention and it reminds him of dogs begging for food. So pitiful. But this. This is different. He has friends here and they want to help him just for the hell of it. They aren't trying to prove anything or get anything from him.

Miranda's ecstatic grin softened into a content smile as she gingerly placed her water bottle on the table beside the cake. She approached the silver-haired teen, placing a hand on his shoulder, and giving it a tight squeeze. For not wanting a party, and for not wanting anyone to do anything for him, he sure had been looking awfully happy tonight. The woman almost felt silly thinking he would be angered by the turnout. She felt the urge to hug him, but refrained because well... it was in public and who knows how he would've reacted if she just did it. "H-Happy birthday, Gokudera"

Gokudera watches her and doesn't pull away when she touches him. If anything, his tension starts to ease away and he lets out a small sigh. This isn't so bad... this whole birthday party thing. He wonders to himself when the last time he'd actually celebrated his birthday had been. It was usually spent alone, reflecting on his past, and was never focused around his happiness. The teen nods at her, "Thank you, Manda."

She feels his shoulder loosen up under her hand. Miranda doesn't understand why, but the urge to hug him is a lot stronger now. S-should she ask? Well... the worst he could say was no, and then things would be awkward... but they've dealt with worse things between them, right? Right. Taking the hand that rested on his shoulder and rubbing the back of her neck with it, the woman blushes slightly. "Um..."

He frowns at the question and pouts, not feeling entirely comfortable about the idea. "I'd rather you not, actually." Gokudera puts his hands up and takes a small step back, watching her carefully while he does so.

"...oh" Well... um... this was awkward. Mirandas' blush deepens as she turns her gaze to the floor.

"Don't worry about it." He flashes her a grin and it stops short, "Hm. Miranda... why are you blushing?" Gokudera wonders why she's acting so shy.

She stiffens, taking the hand that was rubbing her neck and waving it in the air dismissively between them. Miranda was laughing nervously as she said, "D-don't worry about it. It's n-nothing, really"

"Really?" His expression hardens and he takes a step closer to her. "Maybe you should drink some more water..." Gokudera looks mildly concerned. If she's getting sick again, he won't know what to do, and kicking her off the Vongola is the only thing that makes sense to him.

"G-Gokudera I'm fine!" she smiles sheepishly, still waving her hand dismissively. Honestly, why was he always worrying so much over her? Usually it was the other way around. Miranda was only used to it being the other way around, and always got even more nervous when he acted this way.

"Yeah but you don't look fine." He said, getting serious. Alright Dera, time to man up and help Tenth worry about the crew. If she was getting sick again, he wasn't going to let her get away and spread it to his boss. The teen moves one of his hands over one of her waving ones and places it against her forehead. It's surprisingly gentle for such a dramatic movement and he watches her, wondering if she's really as warm as he feels, or if he's just got cold hands.

Her eyes widen in surprise at the sudden movement, and she makes a little uncomfertable squeaking noise in the back of her throat as her blush flares up. She hadn't expected him to be so gentle, or hell, to actually show his concern and checking her temperature. "G-Gokudera I am not getting sick"

For all of the squeaking and blushing, he's surprised Miranda hasn't pulled away from him. "Nervous, then?" Gokudera cocks his head to the side as he looks at her, pulling his hand away slowly.

"I-I guess..." she admits, adverting her eyes from his probing gaze.

Gokudera crosses his arms, looking as frustrated as a wet cat. "Not used to what?"

"P-people being concerned about me" And showing it. Miranda looks up at the bomber for a split second and, seeing his exasperated expression, feels bad for opening her mouth in the first place and promptly returns to staring at the carpet.

"You're not the only one." Gokudera shrugs and returns his hands to his pockets. "Since you're crew, it's kind of my job though."
