Broke and needing all new wardrobe. AGAIN.

Once again. I have no clothes. And I put too much money into the seaking farm shares (totally going well by the way: you should all still get in on it while you can) so I'm a little strapped. I'm thinking of bounty hunting but I had a plan I'd hate to ruin. Anyone got ideas?

Yeah but the boots would still have to be cleaned, wouldn't they? Infections or whatever? Hm I don't really pay much attention to bodies except for money. Or treasure.

They were relatively new, and I always wear socks with them. Really, I wouldn't have bothered except that I needed a new cover quickly, and unfortunately when there's a riot you don't have many options. There were others who contributed to the new disguise as well, but I disposed of their effects once I reached my then current base of operations.

You seem to be a woman after Nami-chan's own heart. I shall have to keep that in mind.

Mm-hm. From what I've seen of her skills in action, that's very true yes. I wish I could tell you I'm nothing special but this whole "honesty" thing is making it impossible.

I see. Well, at least that indicates that at some subconscious level you recognize your own skills. I find that an essential aspect of a great fighter. Take Luffy-san, for example. He claims he's going to be the best, and that motivates him to make it true. While he does seem to be the exception to a number of rules, in this instance he is a shining example of what is possible.

Oh I'm not the best. I never tried to be. Never wanted to be. Lupin's the best. I can unlock almost any lock there is, and sneak by most people unseen but there isn't a single lock ever invented he can't undo. But that's fine with me. I never wanted to be a theif. Just sort of fell into it. I've fallen into a lot of things I didn't want to.

I can relate to that sentiment, the feeling of falling into a lot of things you never cared to be a part of. In a bout of personal courtesy, I'll refrain from asking for particulars.

It's ok. The only people I really really want to keep it secret from aren't here. Lupin already knows, Jigen and Goemon don't care and Zenigata knows more than Lupin in some ways. But thanks. I won't ask either. Though I kind of already did so I'm sorry about that.
