Okay so Crocodile and I got in a debate about having goals/unattainable quests/missions/whatever. And I've been curious about this for awhile and like Liet said, things are really slow on this ship right now. So dream meme.


1. Do you have an ultimate goal/dream?
a) If yes, what is this?
b) If you don't want to tell people, why not?
2. What is it you want right now/within the next month or so?
3. What would it take for you to achieve your ultimate dream?
a) What would it take for you to obtain what you want right now?
4. Do you want other people to be involved in this dream?

I don't think I've ever worn a leotard but they do look itchy.

It would! I love recommending books to people, so owning a bookstore would be really neat.

Well, it helps if you know what kind of thing you like to read in the first place, but I'd guess...crime drama? Something noir, maybe, but action. What do you think?

Yup that sounds right on the money. ^_^ I used to read a lot of Agatha Christie and mystery novels when I was younger and I haven't had as much time for reading in the last few years and when I did it was usually for a job or undercover so I wouldn't mind reading for fun again. I really like Ian Flemmings and James Bond and Dick Tracey and things like that.

Well, if you like Agatha Christie you should try Mary Higgins Clark or maybe Carolyn Fisher...Lillian Jackson Braun does some excellent character writing if you don't mind a little background supernatural element. Oh, and obviously you'll have to check out Sir Arthur Conan Doyle if you haven't yet; my favorite is The Sign of the Four, but - oh! I know just what you'd like!

Mary Higgins Clark, Carolyn Fisher and Lillian Jackson Braun. Got it. Hmmm... Sherlock Holmes right? I've read a few... not that one though. Mostly the one about Arsene Lupin... he was my ex-boyfriend's grandfather so it was sort of work materials. Sounds interesting though.

Oh gosh, I couldn't decide. I just finished reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel, though, and I think it's definitely a new favorite!

Yeah. My ex was Arsene Lupin the Third. His grandfather was the famous gentleman thief Arsene Lupin (the first). Lupin was following in the family tradition. He sends letters warning people about his next heist and everything. There's not a lock in the world he can't undo. Normally I wouldn't tell anyone that because it just brings trouble but well, different world and all that so it doesn't really matter I guess. He's not even here anyway. I mean even if someone tried to use me as bait for him again they could just figure out the connection from meeting him so...

Oh! The one about the tiger? That's a great book!

Yeah! I really loved it. I wonder what I should read next, though. Marine rulebooks can get kind of boring.

It is. I had no idea other ones actually existed. And the country-people all have names of countries from my world and act like they could really be those countries but people from other worlds have those countries too. It's weird.

You're still working on researching everything right?

Maybe some historical or cultural books if that's your thing? Smoker only had outdated ones but I picked up a few cultural based ones. And Nico Robin has a bunch of books I think.

Yeah sure! I'll send 'em via seagull air mail. Hmmm some of them might be the ship's more than mine.... Eh whatever, I don't think Ipin or Killua will mind and the others don't really scare me as much.
