OOC: Gokudera's Party Log Post

OBVIOUSLY you don't have to show up. We know it's short notice and during the week (feel free to run threads for months I don't mind) we just had a lot of people wanting to log things related to it and rather than have 17 little logs (seriously, I mean it is starting to clutter friend's page, for which I apologize because I think 1/2 of that is me orz) THIS WAY everyone can and all one post. And be spontaneous whatever.

It's decorated for Gokudera's birthday, nothing TOO big and flashy but Fujiko got him a piano banner because she's like that. (and did one for Akito/Agito so yeah)

Also of course, the awesome amazing PIANO Tsuna and Reborn got him with Brooke to visit and play!! YAY!

Okay guys enjoy.

Brooke spiffed up his hair with a smile. He didn't always admit it instantly, but he simply lived for parties, and he strode towards the piano are in confidence waiting to see if anyone would care to join him this evening.

Gokudera moved swiftly toward the skeleton, looking as irritable as ever despite the fact that it was his party. He cleared his throat loudly as he stood behind Brooke, feeling a mixture of excitement and intimidation swirling in his stomach.

"Ah, Gokudera! Nice to see you in the flesh... even though I am not. Yohohoho!" Brooke said laughing cheerily as he pulled a cup of tea out of his coat pockets as usual. "I was just admiring your lovely piano you got for your birthday. Do you have much skill with the piano?"

He twitched visibly as he watched the skeleton speak to him. "...Uh yeah. Boss did a wonderful job. I..." Gokudera blushed and lowered his head when he admired the baby grand piano before them. "I know a few songs."

Brooke paused to think the twitch over for a sec before a thought occurred to him. "Oh! I have some sheet music for some of my songs if you'd like to try playing them! I don't know if you can read sheet music though. I know that it took me 7 years to finally master that skill and I still do it best through memory. Yohohoho!" With that Brooke opened his skull right down the crack in his head to reach in and pull out some sheet music and then promptly shut his skull closed again like nothing happened. "Here we are! So what kind of songs do you already know? Marinated tofu? Crunchy frogs?"

(ooc: making up random one piece world children songs)

At first he just stares, mouth slightly agape and eyes twinkling when the skeleton opens his skull right before him. He suppresses an amused laugh and puts on a frown when Brooke's words register. "I can read sheet music!" He snatches it from the skeleton and then looks it over. "I've... never heard of those." Gokudera frowns at the paper, then up at the Vongola's musical guest.

Brooke backed off slightly when Gokudera practically growled at him when he mentioned being able to read sheet music. "I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to imply any..." But he paused at the last part. "You've never heard of marinated tofu or crunchy frogs?! What planet do you come fro-... stupid question... Well would you perhaps prefer a little duet I'm fond of, with me?"

Gokudera pouts as he considers his skeletal company. "Play it once and I'll follow." The teen takes a seat on the bench, leaving room beside him for Brooke. He looks down at the large cover over the keys, feeling his heart flutter with excitement. He has yet to even look at them.

Brooke cracked his knuckles and smiled broadly at Gokudera. "Thank you for letting me play with you Gokudera! Now then, you just play this after me and then I'll join you the second time around with an accompaniment. A one, and a two, and a 1, 2, 3!" And with that the bard began to play in high notes this tune which to most earthlings would bear a striking resemblance to twinkle, twinkle little star. The bard on the other hand only knew it as Marinated Tofu and sang happily.

♪~Marinated Tofu's great,
that's because it's what I ate,
It's great to eat on a stick
Don't say eww just give a lick,
Marinated Tofu's great,
that's because it's what I ate!~♪

Gokudera just watches as the bones danced across the white keys smoothly and he couldn't help the small smile that pulled at his lips. He placed his own fingers over the keys and joined in, rolling his eyes when Brooke began to sing. It was so stupidly simple, yet made him feel happy.

Swaying over, "Harold Saxon" stopped a short distance from the entrance and smiled. He had rather expected to meet Brooke here but... The other fellow was a surprise. He hadn't put the birthday boy down as the type likely to play. Though he had to admit, that was a nice little tune. Standing to the side, leaning against the nearest surface, The Master closed his eyes to listen to the music. It blocked out the noises in his head, if only for a moment. It wouldn't be long before they returned and wiped away any possibility he had of enjoying this, so he might as well take advantage of what time he had. Plus, it was probably best not to rush right in and introduce himself. He and Gokudera... Well, it was his own fault for giving in to temptation and messing with the man. That had been foolish. He should have known that it was better to keep enemies close. Unfortunately the concept of friends had been driven from The Master's mind long ago.

When they finish playing the tune, Gokudera glances up at the musically inclined skeleton and nods, giving him unspoken permission to continue. He stands and straightens his jacket before turning and noticing the man who had offered him jellybeans only a few days ago. Gokudera likes to think he lives modestly and would rather not pick a fight. However, there is a small bit of irritation that wells inside him at the sight of the Harry. He takes out a cigarette and decides it would be best to pay this smiling person little attention if he can help it.

His eyes snapping open as the music changed, 'Harry' glanced across to see that Gokudera had stood up and ceased playing. From the cigarette and look on the man's face... He'd succeeded in irritating him already. Perhaps it was childish to take delight in such things, but really he had so few things left to entertain himself with until his work was complete. Taking out a bag of Jellybabies and biting the head off one with a satisfying twist, The Master wandered over and placed the bag back into a pocket that seemed far too small to contain so large a bag without bulging.

"Hi guys!"

Waving in an inappropriately exaggerated manner, he smiled with what appeared to be genuine merriment. Nodding to Brooke, he acknowledged the skeleton's music.

"Inspired as always Brooke. Didn't know you could play though. And surprisingly well, too."

The Master smirked and reached into his pocket pulling out a small package which he held out to Gokudera.

"I think you'll find the present fairly amusing. Considering it the first brick towards building that bridge over troubled waters."

"..." Gokudera watches The Master greet them, giving a small grunt as he acknowledges that the person before him exists, much to his displeasure. He takes one hand from his pocket and stops short of accepting the gift. "What is it?" He asks, deep voice loaded with distaste. Suspicion flashes in his eyes as he searches the taller man's face for something that might hint to an oncoming attack.
