So I hear you sleep with a teddy bear named Old Fritz. As adorable as this is ~~I'd love a picture by the way~~ are you perhaps a little too lonely of late? Whatever will you do with that package I sent you? I suppose you could use them on the Old Fritz teddy bear but really, whatever would be the point?

Heh! This will be fun. I've taken Jyabura shopping with me but never as a wolf. Mind letting your disguise down for a bit? You can put it back up if you get nervous. It reminds me of when Smoker was a wolf though. It was fun. I'll definitely have to get you some steak~ You can taste-test it for me before I decide whether to get it for Jyabura.

I believe you but the guns are loud and I shoot on reflex. I don't want to hurt your ears. And Fran could fix any injuries I think but well... it's not likely to happen... just you know... in case. Plus. No offense, but I don't know how skittish you are yet. I tend to think everything is an attack but a lot of times you have to wait until miliseconds before contact just in case it's some idiot tripping or something, you know what I mean?

Well, I was thinking of going as a human, really. It'd be more helpful of me to carry the things and such.

It's not that I'm... trusting... but... I've lived all my life with humans. And Granny was really kind to me, and I don't think humans are really that bad. They are just scared of many things and that makes them kind of like a wounded animal.

Yeah but... you're a wolf. It's just... well in my world it'd be considered unnecessarily cruel to use guns around wolves. Like setting off fireworks near dogs. I mean some people did because some people are sick but... Do you know how to use a gun yourself? You never got... shot did you?

Hmn. They are scared of a lot but some of them are just bastards. But you're pretty smart kid. That's a very appropriate analogy. Just... don't let your guard down too much ok? I don't think too many people here hate wolves or anything but money attracts a lot of attentions there's a lot of people I'm shopping for.

I was mostly in my human form, so no one really knew I was a wolf, ahaha. But it's fine, really, I can handle it. There are far worst sounds.

I got attacked by other wolves too, and doesn't mean I think they are all bad, right? The man who shot me though wolves were evil; he said that they destroyed their home. I understand why he wanted to hunt us so badly, but I'm sure that would change if he actually met us.
If I never gave him that opportunity, how can he ever learn the truth?

Old man Quent always tries to shoot me, but he is just very lonely. When I found him in the snow and laid next to him to keep him warm, he hugged me tight and called his dog's name while he cried. He isn't really a bad person.

... You're very sweet and forgiving. Jeez I could never do that. So he just blames all wolves for something wolves didn't even do and tries to shoot you every time but you were still... You're definitely something else kid. I guess no one is completely a monster? I mean everyone has something kind of nice about them but if enough bad outweighs that... I'm kind of stunned you would even try to find it. What would you get out of it?

His dog, Blue, is actually half wolf and she is part of our pack.

He doesn't know the humans did it; Blue told us that he only saw the wolves, also something about a wolf that looked like the Devil. I'm not sure what she meant.
But I just... like humans I guess. He is actually very kind to Blue and even if he is stubborn; and I know what that feels like. Kiba says it's bad for a wolf to lose his pride like that, but it's not like I lost it, I just know how happy it can make me.

Hmn. I see. A wolf that looked like the devil...? Only thing I can come up with is either machinery or maybe a bad werewolf. But the werewolves I met were always pretty nice. Better than most humans I've known anyway. But you did say there was robots, right? So maybe it was that?

I don't think it's losing pride to understand people as well as I think you do. It's being smart. I guess I'm a little worried you'll get hurt if you think everyone has some sort of good side because so many of them don't. And if it makes you happy that's good... but I'd be worried that in the long run you'd get hurt more. You can't be happy if you're going to die or in a lot of pain. At least... not really. I don't know. Pride is something only the very foolhardy hold onto. Usually men more than women I guess. I mean I know what Kiba means, more like losing your backbone and self-respect as a wolf, right? But pride isn't something people or even wolves should really hold onto. It'll get you into as much trouble as thinking everyone is safe. And worse still, it'll keep you in the trouble even when there's safe exits out.

It's a beta pack, everyone is free to do what they want. She left old man when found out she was half wolf and started following to Paradise. In the end we got separated, but the place where her mate Hige last saw her, we could sense old man's smell, so we assumed she was with him.
We will find her later on.

I'm not sure, Blue wasn't able to explain it very well either. She doesn't like talking about it since her and old man's family died then.

Hm. Hige always says there is no use for pride if you are dead. That's what I think also. I like being a wolf and I'm proud of it, but yeah, I do also like to be around humans since Granny never treated me badly. Humans can be very cruel, I know that, but I also know they can be very gentle.

Right. I guess you've got a good point kid. Nothing is ever really black and white. Things tend to be really grey. Things just aren't usually what they seem and there's a lot of duality to it.

Oh! Last time I went shopping with a wolf as a wolf (even though you'll be in disguise) he got distracted by a lot of stuff. I'm told it's because every new thought as a wolf takes up most of the thinking? I'm not sure if that holds true for you but if you smell or see something distracting or new and exciting you want to investigate, tell me so I can come with you. If nothing else, I get curious too. ;)

... Old man really loved Blue. He'd never hurt her, and there was no blood there either.
And we are strong. Kiba already got shot so many times and he is still running around looking for Paradise.

Oh, okay! Whenever there is a new smell, I do tend to look it up to recognize it later on if necessary. This world does have many new ones.

Me too. A lot of them anyway. Have you met that creepy flying one? SO CREEPY. Grr. Small cats are messed up. They're just spooky. Like this one kept an emerald in its eye. Creepy. I'm just surprised they chased you.

When Granny died I didn't really know much about how to survive, so crows and cats usually chased me away whenever I found food. But I learned with time - but they still annoy me.

Yeah. He's creepy. I think his name is Happy or something but he's definitely creepy.

Aw. That's sounds sad. Mostly my problem with cats is pretty basic. I get along with almost every animal out there except cats and crows. And usually the bigger an animal the more I get along with it. So tigers and lions I don't mind but those small cats? I don't know. They give me the creeps though. Well I don't think any cats here will chase you. If they do I'll make them back off.

I never saw a big cat, but Kiba said he met a cougar. Also, giraffe-guy told me that his mate was a leopard, so I'll sooner or later meet a big cat, right?

Ah, thank you! I already know how to get rid of them, but I guess it's just... they are so sneaky and annoying and always tease me and smell.
